Cookie policy
This site counts visits with Google Analytics only if you say yes. Here is exactly what each answer means.
Last updated 13 October 2026
The short version
This website asks before it sets any cookie that is not strictly necessary. If you accept, Google Analytics sets two cookies so we can count visits and see which pages people read. If you decline, the analytics script never loads.
Either way, one cookie remembers your answer so we do not ask on every page.
Your choice
Change your answer here at any time. Declining also deletes the Google Analytics cookies already set.
The cookies
- fgs-consent — holds “granted” or “denied” and nothing that identifies you. Set when you answer the notice, kept for about six months, first-party, SameSite=Lax. Strictly necessary: it remembers a choice you made.
- _ga — Google Analytics. A random ID that lets Analytics tell one browser from another, so a returning visitor is not counted twice. Set only after you accept; kept for up to two years.
- _ga_… — Google Analytics. Keeps track of the current visit. Set only after you accept; kept for up to two years.
Clear your cookies and the notice comes back and asks again.
What Google Analytics sees
If you accept: the pages you view and how you got here, your browser, device and screen size, your approximate location worked out from your IP address, how long you stay, and which of our buttons you press — a plan, sign-in, the chat, the demo or enquiry form (never what you type into them). We see it as totals — which pages are read, where visitors come from — not as a record of you.
Google processes it for us. The privacy policy covers who receives it and how long it is kept.
What that rules out
- No advertising or retargeting pixels, and no social media trackers.
- Nothing from Google loads until you press Accept, and nothing at all if you decline.
- Fonts, images and code are served from this domain, apart from our own chat widget, which loads from agentai.futuregenstudio.com, and Google Analytics if you accept it.
What still happens when you visit
Your browser asks our hosting provider for a page, and that request is logged — IP address, user agent, what was requested, when. That is a server log, not a cookie: it is not stored on your device and it is not used to recognise you on a later visit.
The privacy policy covers what is in those logs and how long they are kept.
The chat assistant and the chat demo
The chat button on every page is the live FutureGen Agent, our own product, loaded from agentai.futuregenstudio.com. It sets no cookies. It uses your browser’s storage instead:
- aac:visitor:… (local storage) — a random visitor ID, written when a page loads, so the assistant can recognise a returning visitor. It stays until you clear your browser’s site data.
- aac:autoOpenConsent:… (local storage) — whether you accepted or dismissed the assistant’s offer to open, so it does not ask again.
- aac:… (session storage) — the open conversation, so it survives moving between pages. It clears when you close the tab.
What you type into it is sent to that application — see the privacy policy.
The interactive demos on the product pages are different: they run entirely in your browser from a fixed set of questions, store nothing, send nothing anywhere, and forget the conversation when you leave the page.
Our own products
FutureGen Agent and FutureGen Hotel Booking are applications, not this marketing site, and they do use cookies where one is needed to keep you signed in or to hold a booking together. Each is covered by its own policy, provided with the product.
If this changes
Any new cookie or tracker will be added to this page, and the date at the top changed, before it is set — and anything that is not strictly necessary will be asked for first. Questions: hello@futuregenstudio.com.
